Helping You Get the Answers You Need
Do you have questions about any dentistry treatments we offer, dental insurance coverage, or anything else dental-related? Our dentistry team at The Dental Group at Polaris is here to help you get the answers you’re looking for. Below, we collected answers to some of the most frequently asked dental questions we receive from our dental patients. If you still can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to call our dental office.
Are veneers permanent?
Veneers aren’t considered permanent because they do need to be replaced since they can only last for up to 25 years with the proper care. However, preparation of your natural teeth is required for veneers to be placed, which is irreversible. This means that your prepared teeth will need to always be protected by veneers, so the treatment is a lifelong commitment.
How long does it take to get dental implants?
The dental implant process really depends on your unique situation. For example, if you need to have a tooth extraction before you can have your implants placed, that may add on a few weeks of healing time to your journey. That being said, on average, it can take up to a year to complete the process because the osseointegration portion of the treatment (where the implants fuse with the jawbone) can take between three and six months. The best way to learn how long your dental implant process will take is to schedule a consultation with our team.
How long does it take to get a one-visit dental crown?
Traditional crowns can take multiple weeks to craft and place, which doesn’t fit a lot of patients’ busy schedules. Using advanced CEREC technology, we can craft and place a custom-fitted porcelain crown within a single three-hour appointment.
Do you see children?
Yes! We see patients of all ages and are happy to accommodate families during appointments.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We’re proudly in-network with multiple PPO insurance plans and do everything we can to maximize our patients’ benefits by filing claims on their behalf. If you have any questions about your coverage, we’d be happy to help!
How can I take care of my smile without dental insurance?
If you don’t have dental insurance, you may be able to benefit from our in-house Dental Advantage Plan. For a flat fee, you can have access to two checkups and cleanings a year, X-rays, and 25 percent off any additional treatments you receive from us. Call us to learn more!
